What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms:
- Ideas Hub: your first name, email, optional last name, phone and age range, your ward, and the idea itself.
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone, ward, and your message.
- Event registration: your name, email and optional phone.
- Updates: your email and, optionally, your first name and constituency.
- Youth registration: your full name, national ID number, phone number, email, constituency and ward.
Youth registration and ID numbers
Registering with the youth team indicates support for this campaign, so we ask for your explicit consent. Your national ID number is used only to prevent duplicate registrations. It is encrypted when stored, is shown to staff only in masked form, and every time an authorised administrator views a full ID number it is recorded. We never publish or sell registration details. You can ask us to delete your registration at any time.
We store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser to prevent spam. We never store your raw IP address.
What we do not collect
Apart from voluntary youth registration (below), we do not ask for, infer or store political opinions, party preference or voting intention, and we collect national ID numbers only for youth registration. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
How we use it
- To review and, with your choice of name or anonymity, publish ideas you submit.
- To reply to messages and manage event attendance.
- To send updates you have asked for.
Your email and phone number are never displayed publicly.
How long we keep it
Contact details attached to ideas are kept for up to 24 months; contact messages for up to 12 months. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by using the contact form and selecting "Data request".
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics only (for example, page views). We do not use advertising trackers.
